Pricing and catalogue publication

Provider facts remain separate from Fluxr names, visibility, ordering, vendor availability and pricing. A complete import validates total rows, page counts, page sequence and duplicate identities before publishing atomically. A failed import keeps the previous catalogue. Missing products become unavailable; historical references remain intact. Daily imports run at 02:10 Johannesburg time, and Refresh catalogue queues an import.

Rules

One rule applies: product → operator → country → vendor default. Overrides replace inherited settings. Markup and margin are alternative entry methods, never cumulative.

cost = (wholesale amount + wholesale fee) × source-to-ZAR rate
markup price = cost × (1 + markup / 100)
margin price = cost ÷ (1 - margin / 100)

ZAR conversion is 1. Non-ZAR rates must be positive and have a future UTC expiry in the published account exchange-rate version. Final ZAR prices round half-up to cents, with a ceiling at provider cost so rounding cannot create a below-cost sale. Reservations round provider costs upward to account-currency cents, conservatively bounding exposure.

Ranged quotes enforce destination minimum, maximum and increment. Budget quoting searches valid increments for the highest benefit whose rounded charge fits the budget. The result includes unused cents. Both advertised destination and source calculation modes are supported; adjusted provider values are checked before confirmation.

Staff workflow

1. Open Vendors → View → Pricing → Draft pricing and supply a complete replacement rule set with a default and optional country/operator/product rules.
2. Publish account exchange rates in Operations when provider costs are not ZAR.
3. Give the change a reason. Preview evaluates all enabled products and shows errors and calculated charges. Ranged previews use the minimum amount.
4. Publish rechecks the preview hash and base version under database locks. A changed catalogue or intervening publication requires another preview.
5. Use Copy to new draft to roll back. Publication always creates a new version; old versions remain immutable.

Edit draft rule produces a revised draft while retaining the old draft and its preview evidence. Use Pricing → Draft product pricing within the vendor to select several products and create overrides in a new draft. Published versions cannot be edited or deleted. An already-issued quote retains its version until its five-minute expiry, including after a later publication.

DT One retail fields are informational. This release adds no Fluxr retail fee or absolute fixed selling-price mode. DT Shop adjustments must remain unchanged until the existing consumer applications have migrated.
